Odds and Ends…
J. C. Hutchins, the genius behind and author of the wildly successful Seventh Son novels—which he has been podcasting—interviewed me on the most recent of his hiatus-casts. The third, and possibly concluding volume in the trilogy, will debut on 07.07.07. Our discussion ranged all over the place and was a lot of fun.
And if you haven’t tried 7th Son, you really will enjoy it. Not only is it an entertaining story, but really points out the full potential of podcasting both as entertainment, and a great way to network with other authors and explore the world of new media.
Jamie Jordan interviewed me and Kassie Klaybourne on his most recent episode of Riding a Wheelie. It was another free-ranging discussion that went into some of the behind-the-scenes workings of creating the Fortress Draconis podcast.
In other interesting news, Bantam Books just informed me that A Secret Atlas has gone back to the presses for another run of 5,000 units. That is very good news.
The New World, which completes the Age of Discovery series, should hit bookstores on or about 28 June 2007 I’m really excited about that book coming out. Early reader comments indicate a desire for more since there’s a lot packed in there. This is never a bad thing.
The latest issue of The Secrets newsletter—#78—has just gone out to subscribers. It covers information about the current “fads” in the SF/Fantasy field and how to avoid getting caught in the coming implosion and collapse of those markets.
Lastly, like pretty much everyone else in the world, I have a My Space page. If you have a page and want to be a friend, just send me an invitation.
