Where is Hero now?

Okay, so I still have to get the hang of blogging. I suspect that I work at writing, then want to walk away from the keyboard, so I resist posting results.

As of today, the book stands at 90K words. Today’s contribution was Chapter 36. So it would look like the last sixteen days has been worth 30K words, but I lost some days to the holiday and all, so the production is a bit better than 2K words a day.

Right now we’re right down to the end: four more chapters to go. Lots of flash bang stuff still to get set up, as well as some surprises and reveals. The trick in this part of the book is to reveal things slowly, so you can still surprise the readers, then tie it all up with a ribbon and leave open the possibility of a sequel, or at least more stories.

With luck, the book will be finished by this weekend, then we start revising. But, for the month of November I’ve kicked out 60K words and will have that at 70 by the time we’re done. The pace has felt right, the book has progessed so this pleases me enormously.
