If it's Wednesday, it must be Hero

Only got one chapter out today. At 2603 words, it brings the total to 46,454.

I’m pleased with the progress. The story is growing, and the emotional parts of it are getting stronger. As should be expected for any character of mine, things will never go quite as smoothly as they ought to. Usually I just beat the crap out of them, though. Here there’s also some emotional beating going on, which is actually a lot of fun to write.

This morning, over coffee, I connected a couple other dots. This will be good as it kinks the story up quite a bit. I love when little details finally come together, strengthening the skeleton, providing more motivation and giving readers a chance to decipher what’s really going on. Times like that I figure I’m either a genius, or just damned lucky—and more the latter than the former, really.

Still, it makes the stories fun. The discoveries did mean I had to reorder some chapters, but that’s okay, too. It is all going to work.
