The Secrets Podcast Series Four: Novels Episode Two

The Secrets Podcast continues its fourth season. This time around I’m tackling novels and the stuff that takes place while you’re writing one. I’m starting off using Star Wars™ X-wing™ Rogue Squadron™ as my example. It’s a good choice because so many folks have read it, and since it started a series, has all the world- and situation-building bits that are vital to creating a successful novel.

Rogue Squadron™ will take five shows. This episode covers the first quarter of the novel. You can see the characters getting introduced, the conflicts begining to line up, and the action beginning to hit speed. I also get to deal with some fan reactions to the work, and the effect it can have on a writer.
